It's mid March and we, as most people, are craving signs of spring. Over the last week we have had signs from mother nature: rising temps, rain not snow, and thawing ground. All of which have resulted in what I refer to as "mud and flood" season. Granted I appreciate this more than the ice and mud season of earlier this month, but it does bring up its own challenges on the farm. We are grateful to live on a hill, so overall our flooding concerns were small.
However, last night we had the surest sign of all that spring is here: the dogs now smell like skunk!
